October 31st on many reference books, it is the eve of all saint’s day which is known as Halloween or Hallowe’en. It also known as All Hallows Tide, All-Hallowmas, or All Hallows’ Day. Which was always celebrated by western countries by giving candies to children and dressing up to cartoon characters, superheroes or anyone you want to be which was adapted by our country also.

All Saint’s Day observance started back in the fourth Century Greek Christian made the first Sunday after Pentecost in honor of all martyrs and saints. Other sources say that a commemoration of “All Martyrs” began to be celebrated as early as 270 CE but no specific month or date is recorded. Pope Gregory IV made All Saints' Day an authorized holiday in 835 CE. It is speculated that the chosen date for the event, November 1, may have been an attempt to supplant the pagan Festival of the Dead (also known as Samhain or the feast of Saman, lord of death). All Saints' Day is not to be confused with All Souls’ Day, which was first instituted at the monastery in Cluny in 993 CE and quickly spread among Christians.

Other countries such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Australia don’t proclaim November 1st as public holiday unlike in the Philippines. We all know that there are many Filipinos in other countries who wants to commemorate All Saints’ Day so if you ever want to share the observance of this holiday wherever you are in part of the world, just type in your browser the best flower shops in Makati or go directly to thefuneralflowerdelivery.com
